Recently, June 24, 2026, we were honored to collaborate with the Harlem Globetrotters, Childhood Cancer Association, Hustle Squad Basketball, and Walkerville Recreation Centre for a truly meaningful community event. One that showcased the ability of sports to inspire, connect, and bring joy to people's lives.
The Walkerville Recreation Centre came alive with excitement as children and families gathered for an unforgettable basketball session with the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters.
From incredible basketball skills and interactive games to plenty of laughter and high-fives, every moment was designed to create lasting memories. The Globetrotters didn't just put on a show, they took the time to connect with every child, encouraging them to participate, have fun, and simply enjoy the experience.
For many of the young attendees, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet sporting icons up close, learn new skills, and experience the joy that basketball can bring.
What made this event even more meaningful was the opportunity to support the incredible work of the Childhood Cancer Association.
Children and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer deserve moments where they can simply be kids. Laughing, playing, and creating happy memories. Seeing their smiles throughout the day was a powerful reminder that small moments of joy can make a lasting difference.
We were also proud to work alongside Hustle Squad Basketball, whose commitment to developing young athletes and encouraging active lifestyles continues to make a positive impact within the community.
Together with Walkerville Recreation Centre, every partner played an important role in creating an event that celebrated inclusion, connection, and the spirit of giving back.
While basketball brought everyone together, the day was about much more than the game itself.
It was about building confidence, encouraging friendships, supporting families, and creating an environment where every child felt welcomed and celebrated.
